Ofcom, the body that took over from The Radio Authority in January 2004 advertised the FM license for Swindon in March 2005, applications had to be submitted by 3pm on 2nd June 20005.
On September 5th 2005, Ofcom announced the winner of the new Swindon license, unfortunatly, Swindon FM were unsucessful in winning the license.
