How long have you been interested in Radio?
Since I can remember. I have always listened, I can remember me & my mum having arguments about which station we should listen to, she wanted radio 2, I wanted the local station!

What radio experience have you had?
Hospital Radio Swindon since the age of 15, a great thing to get involved in!
A media college course at Chippenham Tech, run by some Geezer called Mike Ganley (I’m sure I’ve heard that name before!)

I used to help out at GWR FM in the newsroom, also “Tech-Opping” for the bath Breakfast show, and general bits for Sandy Martin in the morning on Classic Gold, and Classic Gold sport.

Occaisional Sports Stuff for 107fm The Falcon in Stroud, and even the odd voicer for CD 603 in Cheltenham.

And before Swindon FM, helping out on the “Sandy and Nyree at the weekend” show on (what was then) BBC Wiltshire Sound!

How did you get involved in Swindon FM?
Writing, begging, and talking very nicely to a friend who was already involved, was allowed to present a show on the first RSL, and they kindly allowed me to stay!!

What do you think you bring to the station?
Hmm, difficult to say, probably best to ask some of the people I work with!

What sort of music do you like?
My Favorite band of all time is Madness, but I have a very ecletic taste in music, liking most styles from Classical to pop.

Why?
My Parents had very varied tastes of music, Dad liked Country and Irish, and mum liked pop – both deny ever listening to Easy listening, so I don’t know where I picked that up from!

I also worked in WH Smiths in the Sounds department, both as a Saturday boy, and as a department manager, which also expands your listening selection!

What other interests do you have?
My wife Kerry, and the dog, Bertie, obviously!

What are your aims for the future?
To try and make Swindon FM the best radio station in Swindon!
