How long have you been interested in Radio?
I was a fan of radio in the 50’s as I loved the Jack Jackson Show on The BBC Light Programme and then I listened to the Pirates and Luxembourg under the blankets.
I then discovered US forces Radio from Germany and that was it I became a fan then and now of American FM R&B radio and Top 40 formats

What radio experience have you had?
I did some for the BBC in 1968 but decided to stay with the club Dj’ing rather than full time radio. But I dabbled on the support side with various mates on Radio One and other stations
Then produced radio commercials and helped out on RSL’s

How did you get involved in Swindon FM?
Swindon broadcaster Dave Barrett told me about the first RSL and I sent in a CD of my show format. They rang me up and the rest is history as they say.

What do you think you bring to the station?
A wealth of musical knowledge about a variety of music genres together with a love and an enthusiasm for the radio medium

What sort of music do you like?
I have a very catholic taste and enjoy all music for differing reasons. But my prime choice will always be Soul and Funk

Why?
It is a music that touches the emotion of the heart and the dancing feet.

What other interests do you have?
I refuse to answer that on the grounds it may incriminate me.

What are your aims for the future?
To continue what I am doing now and eventually, to move fully into radio as a decisive career change. Step one will be to ensure Swindon FM gets the analogue licence it deserves.
